Are There Any Silver Skins in CS2?

Counter Strike has finally arrived, and thus we continue to explore the topic of building the perfect equipment to help you start your new adventure with Source 2. So far we’ve talked about black, orange, blue and even neon skins, but…. we haven’t yet explored the idea of a silver weapon finish. And if you’re a fan of the minimalist look and want to distinguish yourself from other people on the maps, this is certainly a good choice. But are there any silver skins in CS2?

We’re about to find out.

What you need to know about CS2

In March 2023, Valve finally announced the big news that their most popular title, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, would be ported to a new game engine – Source 2. As soon as this happened, the gaming community became excited, and people couldn’t stop talking about what was to come. It was to be the biggest technical leap in CS history, and what’s more, it wasn’t going to happen through a simple update, but in the form of an entirely new product, Counter Strike 2.

Unfortunately, although the game was supposed to come out sometime in the summer of 2023, the developer didn’t release any information about it until late September of that year. By then, everything revolved around the beta version, which was sent out to random members of the community in an effort to receive constructive feedback and make some improvements to their upcoming product.

Finally, on September 20, the company posted a cryptic message on its Twitter account (X, to be exact), asking its followers what they would be doing next Wednesday. Of course, people couldn’t be 100% sure that they were actually hinting at the official release of Counter Strike 2, but as it soon turned out, it was a pretty good guess.

Exactly a week later, on September 27, Counter Strike 2 was made available to players around the world, and people could finally enjoy all the new features provided by Source 2. These included improvements to gameplay, interactivity and, most importantly, graphics.

Are CSGO skins available in Counter Strike 2?

If you haven’t yet given Counter Strike 2 a try, you may be asking yourself whether your favorite skins from Global Offensive are still available on the new engine. To that question we can happily answer: yes, they are. Valve quickly revealed that all items will be ported to the new version of the game, and what’s more, they will actually look much better there. Therefore, you can still enjoy all the best items in Source 2, and you’re guaranteed to appreciate them even more thanks to the improved lighting and high-quality visual capabilities of the state-of-the-art game engine.

That said, you’ll have all the more reason to explore the idea of building the perfect equipment from silver CSGO skins. Silver Skins in Counter Strike 2

Silver skins are not something that many people talk about. Usually it’s all about classic black, white or red loadout, with a few mentions of trendy neons and military camo. However, we think that while it may not be the most popular option for most people, it’s definitely worth looking into. Especially if you want to stand out from other CS2 players.

First of all, it should be noted that creating an entire inventory from silver skins would be very difficult, given that there are exactly four of them available in the game. Of course, if you count the basic knife skins, there would be more. But you have to admit that Damascus Steel is not exactly silver, and it seems a bit like cheating. And if you wanted to consider items like the Printstream as part of the silver inventory, that’s a bit of a stretch, too, since they’re definitely more on the white side.

Nevertheless, Valve has made sure that silver enthusiasts will also get a few legit items that no one will question. Interestingly, they all belong a one happy silver family.

MAC-10 Silver

The MAC-10 is the cheapest part of the Silver family and is an ideal option not only for SMG fans, but also for players who have a limited budget, yet still want to be able to show off unique items on CS2 maps. It is part of the Bank Collection and was introduced to CS:GO in 2014 with the “The Hunt Begins” update. In Counter Strike 2, it guarantees a beautiful appearance thanks to the natural lighting of improved maps, falling on its pristine surface.

P2000 Silver

The P2000 is a reliable gun, and its silver version was introduced to the game as one of the earliest skins ever, with the legendary Arms Deal update in 2013. Since then, this minimalist classic has become a staple in the inventory of all silver enthusiasts, and if you are part of this community, you should definitely get this item. Although it is not the cheapest, it is still far from the most expensive weapon finishes in Counter Strike 2.

MAG-7 Silver

Now this doesn’t happen very often, but here we come to you with a shotgun, and not just any shotgun, but the infamous MAG-7. Of course, playing with this kind of weapon is not for everyone, as it is only effective in close combat. However, if you are a fan of close encounters, then this game is certainly for you. Plus, if you put a silver skin on it, it’s basically obvious that you’ll be among the very best CS2 players.

CZ75-Auto

Finally, the most recent addition to the silver family is the fully automatic CZ75 version. This skin was added to Global Offensive in 2023, along with the Operation Broken Fang case. Although it hasn’t been available for a long time, people love it for its simplicity and clean look, which is capable of elevating almost any player’s inventory. Not to mention that it is also available in the Souvenir version, which dropped in the Paris 2023 Ancient Souvenir package.

Conclusions

As you can see, the Silver skin family may not be the largest, but it’s certainly impressive. If you want to start (or continue) your Counter Strike 2 adventure with a neat-looking loadout, then these items are certainly for you. Don’t forget, however, that the Steam market offers many interesting customization options, so even if these types of skins don’t appeal to you, you can certainly find some inspiration on our SkinCashier blog.
