– Official of the Operation Broken Fang

Operation Broken Fang was an update released in CS:GO on December 3rd, 2020 and ended on May 3rd, 2021. Throughout the six months that encompassed Operation Broken Fang players who purchased the Operation Broken Fang Coin from the in-game store could access new game modes, gather points to exchange for CS:GO skins, new agents, and many more. Although Operation Broken Fang Coin had to be purchased with real money, participation in the operation was optional. Those players who didn’t want to spend money could still access the new map, Ancient, that was added to the competitive pool.

Players who bought the battle pass and received their coin immediately got access to the extended features offered by the battle pass. For six months, they could complete weekly missions, that would provide them stars that could be used to upgrade their operation coin. Players who got the operation pass were also eligible to receive an Operation Broken Fang case after their matches, allowing them to access the expensive and great-looking skins inside.

What Was The New Map Introduced In Operation Broken Fang?

One of the biggest changes added to the game that affected even the players who did not purchase the battle pass was the new map added to the competitive pool, Ancient. As soon as Operation Broken Fang has cropped, players could randomly get Ancient in competitive map picks.

As the name suggests, the new map looks like an ancient Mayan ruin and certainly emulates the same aesthetic. Ancient is an excavation site, with valuable artifacts, that the terrorist team wants to blow up. As usual, the counter-terrorists are there to stop them. The two teams square off in an ancient dig site, walking through what feels like a Mayan ziggurat. It’s definitely one of the more exotic CS:GO maps, and features many interesting details, that had the players preoccupied for days to come.

What Were The Agents Introduced In Operation Broken Fang?

Besides weapon skins, CSGO game devs have also released a number of unlockable agents, that you can use to completely change your player model. Agents are most often more detailed and feature models that look much better than the vanilla ones. Agents are visible to all players in the game and can be equipped just like other items. While you can’t customize them too much, Agents include patches, that work like stickers, and can be replaced with others that you find more appealing.
