Nothing pleases a CSGO player more than a new skins collection. Of course, considering all the news the CS community has seen in recent months, it would be hard to complain about a lack of excitement. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that when Valve announced in April that a brand new set of items would be added to the game, everyone almost squealed with joy. Today we’ll detail everything you need to know about the new Counter Strike: Global Offensive package. Find out exactly what skins will appear in the Anubis Collection.
The New CSGO Collection
At the end of April 2023, Valve announced the release of a new skin collection called Anubis. This happened just a month after the company dropped the news about the game’s transition to Source 2 and a month before the start of the biggest CS:GO event of the year – BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
CS:GO players are definitely not short of excitement this year. In addition to constant thrilling news being dropped, new items seem to be appearing in the game all the time. It’s worth noting that the last collection before the Anubis package, namely the Revolution Case, was released in February of 2023, just two months earlier.
How to Obtain the New CSGO Collection Package?
Interestingly, Valve has adopted an intriguing way to introduce this fresh set of items into the game. It is worth noting that this is not a case, but a collection pack.
Normally, new releases of this type would come in the form of a weapon cases or possibly an operation (but, as we know, that’s not really an option), and a key would be required to open it. This time, Counter Strike’s developer has made Anubis available as an ordinary item that can be purchased from the game’s main menu. But why? Surprisingly, it has a bit to do with the collection’s name.
Why Is It Called Anubis?
Anubis is a Bomb Defusal map that appeared in Counter Strike in 2020. It’s especially beloved by fans because, in addition to being just super cool, it’s also community-created. What’s more, this ancient Egyptian-styled location was added to Active Duty after the IEM Rio 2022 Major. This meant that the Paris tournament was to be the first to include it in the official competitive pool.
Needless to say, the level of excitement about this map was enormous, and the only thing missing was a dedicated set of skins. Thus, the Anubis Collection Package was born. Players suspected that Valve had decided not to release it as a weapon case in order to control its price and keep it in balance with other items on Steam. The concern, of course, was that interest would have been huge, and thus prices would have gone through the roof. Fans also speculated that with the start of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 the developer would certainly decide to implement a special celebratory update, and the Anubis collection would also become available in a Souvenir version, as is usually the case. And that is, of course, exactly what happened.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s take a look at all the items available in the collection. We’re not going to go into detail about every single skin (because there are 19!!! of them), but instead, we’ll take a moment to pay special attention to our favorites.

Our Top 5 Weapon Skins from the Anubis Collection
- AUG || Snakepit
This particular AUG variant is a true work of art, and if you are a fan of black gear then we strongly recommend you add it to your collection. Snakepit is among the most unique skins in the entire game. It is distinguished primarily by the interesting pattern of a snake twisting around the body of this Austrian assault rifle. Anyone who belongs to the wide circle of AUG enthusiasts should test this item out.
- Flavor Text: Acting on ill intentions
- Lowest Steam Price: $0.02
- Highest Steam Price: $0.10
- MAG-7 || Copper Coated
This item on our list is one of our all-time favorites in CSGO. Copper Coated is a unique version of MAG-7, which looks…. Well, exactly as its name proclaims, i.e. as if someone doused it with a fresh dose of copper. We are convinced that when the game goes to Source 2, it will be one of the best-looking items in the entire game. If previews and reviews are to be believed, the graphical capabilities of the new engine will truly allow this skin to shine.
- Flavor Text: Backup has arrived
- Lowest Steam Price: $1.00
- Highest Steam Price: $3.91
- AWP || Black Nile
As soon as the new collection was announced, most fans unanimously chose their favorite and it was the Black Nile. This beautiful black skin has a design that resembles the pattern of terrain on topographical maps. It was made with silver and metallic lines that stand out beautifully against the dark base layer. Whether you’re an AWP fan or not, this item will take any player’s Inventory to a whole new level.
- Flavor Text: Bleed between the lines
- Lowest Steam Price: $3.97
- Highest Steam Price: $10.27
- P90 || ScaraB Rash
Scarab Rush is probably the most “on-theme” skin in the entire Anubis collection. Its design features a typically Egyptian-looking pattern and on top of that, it also includes the iconic scarab. So the P90 may not be one of the most popular weapons in Counter Strike, but If you really want to get the Anubis experience, this is definitely one of the best options.
- Flavor Text: Resurrection requires death, and death requires rushing
- Lowest Steam Price: $6.17
- Highest Steam Price: $29.25
- Glock-18 | Ramese’s Reach
No list would be complete without a Glock-18, and so it is the case with this one. Once again, Valve offered a special variant of this popular pistol. Ramese’s Reach includes a beautiful panorama of Egyptian pyramids and a pattern of a mysterious eye, which resembles the mythical eye of Horus. If you are interested in this beautiful skin, you can add it to your inventory for just $7.
- Flavor Text: “My people reach for their Gods, and I am here to connect them”
- Lowest Steam Price: $6.83
- Highest Steam Price: $36.79
Conclusions
The Anubis Collection is full of exciting new items and every player should take a look at it. Admittedly, Paris Major is over, but that doesn’t change the fact that every inventory should include at least one skin from this compilation. Be sure to read the article and then think about which items would be perfect for you and your Counter Strike collection.
