CS2 Update: Rent CS2 Skins?

May has been a very generous month for CS2 players, with one update after another gracing their favorite game. And while the previous ones introduced many small changes to graphics or the active duty pool, the latest CS2 update released on the 23rd of May introduced a brand new feature, that is likely to impact the future of CS2 trading. Players can now rent skins to try them out and see how their guns would look with a new visual upgrade. This means that you can now try out any weapon before you buy or sell CS2 skins with other players.

So, how does CS2 skins renting work? Here at SkinCashier we’ve got you covered! Here’s everything you need to know about the new CS2 update.

What Is The New CS2 Update?

On 23rd of May Valve released yet another CS2 update. First up, you can now test skins in-game before buying them. With the new patch, you can rent skins for a week. Just equip the rented weapon in your loadout and see how it looks in-game. After the rental period, the rented weapons will be replaced with the stock options.

Right now, you can only rent weapon finishes from the latest Kilowatt Case. In the future, there will probably be more options from other collections and cases. When you open a Kilowatt Case with a key, you can choose to rent all the skins for a week instead of getting a random skin. Remember, if you choose to rent, you won’t get a permanent skin after the week. Also, you can’t rent knife finishes or place CS2 stickers on rented guns. Although renting weapons means you won’t get a skin when you purchase a key, it can still be a great way to test out a rare special item before you purchase it. It can turn out that in the long run, it was a much better decision than adding another super cheap CS2 skin to your inventory.

Vertigo Changes

Valve has introduced a significant change to one of the active duty maps in the current roster. Vertigo received some tweaks to its design to balance out the match and make defending the points slightly more challenging for the CT team.

The latest update brought two major changes: a new catwalk now connects bombsite A with its backside, creating a new entryway for both attackers and defenders. Additionally, the connector between A and the elevators has been removed and replaced with an open passage, allowing for faster rushing into A.

Molotov And Incendiary Change

The latest update introduced a small but noticeable change to molotovs and incendiary grenades, essentially nerfing them a bit. This adjustment aims to make gameplay more balanced by reducing the overall impact of these powerful tools.

Now, when you throw fire on the map, you’ll notice the flames aren’t as tall as they used to be, and they dissipate over time, covering a smaller area of effect. This change means you’ll have to be more strategic with your throws. To balance this out, the price of these grenades has been reduced to $500, making them more accessible but less powerful and game-changing.

Summing Up

Counter Strike 2 might have had a rough start, but the game just seems to continuously improve over time and make the experience more enjoyable for the players. Still, we can definitely expect more CS2 updates in the near future.
