What Are the Blue Gem Skins?
Before we dive into why the new Desert Eagle skin is so important, you need to understand what’s the deal with the Blue Gem skins and why they are so popular in the Counter Strike community.
Blue Gem skins are variants of the popular Case Hardened skins, with specific patterns featuring a blot of blue paint somewhere on the skin. While the Case Hardened skins are already quite expensive with their patina coloring, the Blue Gem skins take it to a new level. These are the skins with a float value which adds an element, which looks like a literal blue gem placed somewhere on the gun or knife.
They are some of the most expensive skins in CS2, with some of the rarest Blue Gem patterns worth over $1000000 (yes, you’ve read that right). One of the new most expensive skins is the rare AK-47 Case Hardened, priced by collectors at over one million dollars, though its holder claims that he’s not interested in selling the skin in the near future.
Perhaps the most famous Blue Gem skin in the game is the Karambit Blue Gem knife. It’s easily the most expensive CS2 knife, worth hundreds of thousands, or a million dollars, depending on the individual skin pattern. Many rare skins collectors with the most expensive CS2 inventories often own multiple copies of Karambit Blue Gem worth tons of money.
What Are the Desert Eagle Heat Treated Blue Gem Patterns?
Just like the Karambit Blue Gem, Desert Eagle Heat Treated comes in many different variants, depending on their individual skin patterns. They blend a number of different colors, with blue, gold and purple gem variants as the most popular and expensive choices. Here are all the Desert Eagle Heat Treated Blue Gem patterns currently available in the game:

How Expensive is Desert Eagle Heat Treated?
While Desert Eagle Heat Treated was originally trade-locked, players are no longer capable of selling the skin, though its prices vary greatly, much more than those of other Blue Gem skins in the game.
Depending on the individual skin pattern, your skin can either be worth a couple dollars, or around one thousand. Although it’s still relatively expensive for a CS skin, it places the Desert Eagle Heat Treated at the lower end of the price spectrum.
How to Obtain Desert Eagle Heat Treated?
At the moment there are two different ways in which you can add a Desert Eagle Heat Treated skin to your own inventory:
CS2 Skin Trading
Like other items, you can trade Desert Eagle Heat Treated with other players on the Steam Community Market, or via third-party marketplaces. The skin’s individual price highly depends on its individual pattern and Float Value, though the more common patterns are relatively cheap.
Armory Credits
Desert Eagle Heat Treated was actually one of the first skins to ever be available as the highest-priced reward in the Armory Pass. Players who have purchased the pass can complete in-game quests in order to receive armory credits, which can later be spent on a variety of different CS2 rewards. Players can obtain CS2 charms, skins, and weapon cases this way, and most importantly, they can exchange Armory Credits to receive their copy of the skin. Keep in mind, however, that you will receive a random pattern this way, meaning that you can’t predict whether your Armory Credits exchange will be worth it.
