CS2 charms are the latest addition to Counter-Strike 2’s vast array of weapon customizations, providing players with a way to accessorize their weapons beyond the usual CS2 stickers. These small keychains, introduced in the Armory update, attach to your weapons and offer a fresh way to express personal style.
While stickers were previously the primary way to customize weapons, charms add another layer, allowing players to combine different visual elements and create distinctive looks. Whether you prefer a tactical or lighthearted approach, there’s a charm that will complement your style.
Want to learn more about this new awesome addition? Today we’ll go over all the CS2 charms available in the game!
How to Obtain CS2 Charms in Counter-Strike 2?
Acquiring charms in CS2 is primarily tied to the Armory Pass system, where players unlock rewards as they progress through the game. By completing matches and achieving specific milestones, players earn Armory Credits, which can then be used to purchase charm capsules. These capsules function similarly to CS2 weapon cases, containing a variety of charms that players can unlock.
At the moment there are two charm capsules available. While players can’t choose which charm they’ll open, they can narrow down their possible drops to the two charm collections currently in the game. While the choices right now are slightly limited, in the future, we can expect more charm capsules to be introduced, just like with CS2 sticker capsules.
Charm Rarity
While the charms in CS2 feature only two collections at the moment, just like weapon skins with their wear rating, charms in CS2 feature a number of different rarity levels. These are, from the most to least:
- High Grade
- Remarkable
- Exotic
- Extraordinary
Just like with rare weapon skins, the rarer the charm, the more money you can get when you sell CS2 charms to other players.
How to Use Charms in CS2?
Once you have obtained a charm, equipping it is simple. Charms can be attached to any weapon skin, and they offer a high degree of flexibility when it comes to placement. Unlike stickers, which are fixed to specific locations on the weapon, charms can be positioned wherever the player feels they best enhance the weapon’s look. However, like with the CS2 sticker update, you have a lot of freedom regarding the individual charm placement.
For those who want to move their favorite charms between weapons, the game provides a special in-game tool that allows charm transfers and must be purchased from the in-game store. However, each transfer tool has a limited number of uses and will disappear after three uses.
Can You Combine Charms and Stickers in CS2?
Players can combine both charms and stickers on a single weapon skin, allowing for more complex and personalized designs. This compatibility means you are not restricted to one decoration type; instead, you can layer elements, mixing and matching styles to create a weapon that reflects your unique aesthetic. However, while you can have multiple stickers, you can only use a single charm with each CS2 weapon skin.
Can You Buy and Sell Charms in CS2?
Charms in CS2 are fully tradable, integrated into the game’s established trading system similar to skins and stickers. You can also sell CS2 (CS:GO) skins with charms for an increased price. They follow the same trading policies as other in-game items, including a mandatory seven-day trade hold after acquisition.
This restriction applies whether you obtain the charm through the Armory Pass, in-game drops, or by purchasing it on the Steam Community Market. This delay aims to maintain the balance and stability of the trading ecosystem, preventing immediate resale manipulation and ensuring that the market remains fair.
For players who are into trading, charms present new opportunities to expand their collections and profit. Since CS2’s trading market is dynamic, the value of charms can fluctuate based on their rarity, design appeal, and player demand. Collectors may find that certain charms become highly sought after, particularly limited-edition releases or those that complement rare weapon skins.
