What happened to BitSkins

BitSkins announced on 27 May 2026 that it was shutting down. It named tighter regulation, restrictions from authorities, VAT costs that made it loss-making, and Steam API limitations and maintenance costs. New deposits and listings stopped on 29 May.

Automated withdrawals were first due to end on 30 June 2026. The date was later moved to 14 July 2026, when trading, deposits and automated withdrawals ended for good.

The site now says it is permanently closed and that leftover items and balances have to be recovered manually through its support. Some Trustpilot reviews from June and July 2026 report failed withdrawals.

BitSkins relaunched as BitSkins 2.0 in August 2023. It was run by Bitskins Sp. z o.o. in Katowice, Poland. In June 2026 the company was renamed The End sp. z o.o. (KRS 0000810143).

What to look for in a BitSkins replacement

If you used BitSkins to turn skins into money, these are the things to check before you move.

  • A buyer that pays right away

On a marketplace you list your items and wait. A site that buys items itself, like SkinCashier, gives you an offer for every item straight away.

  • Payout methods you already use

BitSkins paid out to crypto, card, bank and PayPal. SkinCashier pays to PayPal, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

  • A company you can check

SkinCashier is run by Global Ecommerce Soultions sp. z o.o. in Warsaw. Look it up in the KRS register before you sell.

How fast you get paid

  1. Sign in with Steam

Through Steam's own login page. Add your trade URL once and you're set.

  2. See your price

Every item gets an offer straight away. No listing, no waiting for a buyer.

  3. Accept the trade

Our bot sends the trade offer. You confirm it in the Steam app.

  4. Withdraw

Pick PayPal or crypto. Payouts are sent automatically, not from a manual queue.

CS2 items: Steam lets the sender reverse a CS2 trade for 7 days (trade protection), on every site. We release the money as soon as that period ends. Rust, Dota 2 and TF2 items are paid right after the trade.
