How to Find Your Steam Trade URL (Trade Link)

Your Steam trade URL is at the bottom of the "Who can send me Trade Offers?" page, in the Third-Party Sites section. The fastest way there is the direct link steamcommunity.com/my/tradeoffers/privacy: log in, scroll down and copy the link.

A trade URL (also called a trade link) lets anyone who has it send you a trade offer, even if you aren't friends on Steam. Trading sites ask for it so their bots can send you offers.

How to find your Steam trade URL on PC

1. Open Steam (the app or steamcommunity.com) and log in.
2. Hover over your profile name at the top and click Inventory.
3. Click Trade Offers on the right.
4. Click Who can send me Trade Offers?
5. Scroll to Third-Party Sites at the bottom of the page.
6. Copy the link in the box. That is your trade URL.

How to find your trade link on your phone

Open steamcommunity.com/my/tradeoffers/privacy in your phone's browser, log in, and copy the link from the Third-Party Sites section. It is the same page as on PC. If you use the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, you may need to confirm the login in the app.

What a trade URL looks like

A full trade URL has two parts after the question mark:

The partner number identifies your account and the token is the secret part. Copy the whole link. A link cut off before &token= is the most common reason a site says the URL is invalid.

Set your inventory to Public

A site can only see items it can read in your inventory. If your inventory is private, the trade URL works, but the other side sees nothing to trade.

1. Go to your profile and click Edit Profile.
2. Open Privacy Settings.
3. Set Inventory to Public.

You can switch it back to Friends Only or Private when you're done. Steam offers all three options.

How to change your trade URL

On the same page, click Create New URL. Steam generates a new link and the old one stops working right away, so people or sites that had it can no longer send you offers.

Do this if you get spam offers or shared the link somewhere you regret. Then paste the new link on every site you use. On SkinCashier, update it in your profile, or your next sale will fail with an invalid trade URL error.

Is it safe to share your trade URL?

Yes. A trade URL is like an address: it lets someone send you an offer, nothing more. Steam requires you to confirm every trade in the mobile app or by email, and items stay in your inventory until you do.

The risks come from what you accept, not from the link:

• Check every item before confirming. Scammers swap in a cheaper version of the same skin, for example a different wear or a non-StatTrak copy.
• Make sure you're trading with the right account. Scammers impersonate friends and well-known traders.
• Never share your Steam Web API key or log in on a page that isn't steamcommunity.com. That, not the trade URL, is how accounts get emptied. See our guide to the Steam API scam.

Money can't be part of a Steam trade offer, so never hand over items to a person who promises to pay you afterwards. If you want money for your skins, use a site that shows the price before you trade and pays out to a method you choose.

Using your trade URL on SkinCashier

When you sell on SkinCashier, you log in through Steam and add your trade URL and email once, in your profile. The URL has to belong to the account you logged in with. After that:

1. Pick the items you want to sell and see the price in seconds.
2. Choose a payout method: PayPal, Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin. Fees are shown before you sell (current fees).
3. Accept the trade offer and confirm it in the Steam mobile app. Check that the items match.
